Advantages of sliding windows
·
They do not occupy space and do not
invade the interior space in their opening.
As we have said, the windows leaves move to the left and right, with
which they are always placed on the window frame. Therefore in their opening
they do not invade interior areas and do not take away space from the room.
This also prevents possible knocks from people with the windows open.
·
Smaller frames and sheets, greater
luminosity.
Sliding windows
are generally much simpler systems than a sliding window. Therefore, the
profiles of frames and sheets are usually thinner, so the surface of the glass
is larger. Therefore, this type of window allows more light to enter by
allowing a larger glazed area for the same size of hole.
·
Cheaper systems.
As the frame and leaf profiles are simpler and the hardware mechanism is
also simpler, they are usually cheaper systems. These sliding windows have been
the most manufactured windows with low-cost, low-quality aluminum profiles.
However, this has involved the installation of low-quality windows with low
thermal and acoustic insulation. It is precisely these low-quality sliding
windows with serious thermal and acoustic insulation problems that are being
largely renovated.
·
Widely used on doors.
Sliding systems really do have their sense of use when used on doors
rather than windows. In doors it allows us to install large holes, in which the
leaf moves easily to the side to allow people to pass through. In the case of
large gaps such as in doors, a practicable system may occupy a large opening
space, making it not feasible.
